Dear Friends,
My biggest news is that I’m hard at work developing a new TV show for national public television. The topic is, of course, designing rooms you’ll love to live in. Sincere thanks to all of you who encouraged me to pursue this idea in all your kind and enthusiastic letters, e-mails and on the web. I’ll be taking you to beautiful homes — both upscale and those done on a budget — to inspire you to bring beautiful design into your life. While kitchens and bathrooms will surely be an important part of the show, this time I’ll be taking you into every room, and even outside and around the house, to explore exciting ideas that will work for you. I have always believed that once you know the language of design, you can express it in any context, any region, and for any lifestyle.
Apart from my work on the show, I continue to lecture and do radio, TV and print interviews on design topics. My third article for The Robb Report will be out this Summer, and I’ve become a contributing editor for HomeSpa, a new luxury design magazine being published in Canada.
Now that Spring is here, I find myself thinking a lot about lessons we can learn from nature — always our best design teacher. So, to get you thinking Spring, check out: Ideas Come From Nature. I’ve also added a few inspiring images from my upcoming book on outdoor living spaces (the 3rd in the It’s Your… series) that will give you more ideas about how best to bring more beauty into your life… just naturally.
